The muffle furnace, also known as the box-type resistance furnace, is a periodically operated electric furnace. It can be used for sintering, heating and heat treatment in the laboratories of coal, electric power, chemical industry, building materials, metallurgy, scientific research and other units and colleges and universities, especially suitable for coal quality analysis and testing, in the determination of coal ash and volatile matter and the analysis of coal ash composition, preparation of samples for determining ash melting point and ash viscosity, etc., muffle furnace burning samples and precipitates are widely used.

Muffle furnace installation and use:

1. After opening the package, check whether the muffle furnace is intact and whether the accessories are complete. Typical muffle furnaces do not require special installation, but simply lay flat on a flat floor or shelf in the room. The controller should avoid vibration, and the position should not be too close to the electric furnace to prevent the internal components from working normally due to overheating.

2. A thermocouple is inserted into the furnace chamber 20-50mm, and the gap between the hole and the thermocouple is filled with asbestos rope. Connect the thermocouple to the compensation wire for control (or use an insulated steel core wire), pay attention to the positive and negative poles, and do not connect them in reverse.

3. A power switch needs to be installed at the introduction of the power cord in order to control the total power supply. In order to ensure safe operation, the furnace and the controller must be reliably grounded.

4. Before use, adjust the thermometer indicator to the zero point, when using the compensation wire and the cold end compensator, the mechanical zero point should be adjusted to the reference temperature point of the cold end compensator, when the compensation wire is not used, the mechanical zero point is adjusted to the zero scale position, but the temperature indicated is the temperature difference between the measurement point and the cold end of the thermocouple.

5. After checking the wiring and confirming that it is correct, cover the controller shell. Adjust the temperature indicator's setting pointer to the desired operating temperature, and then turn on the power supply. Turn on the power switch, the green light on the temperature indicator instrument is on, the relay starts to work, the electric furnace is energized, and the ammeter has a current display. As the internal temperature of the furnace increases, so does the pointer of the temperature indicator instrument, which indicates that the system is working properly. The heating and constant temperature of the electric furnace are indicated by the traffic light of the temperature indicator, the green light indicates the temperature rise, and the red light indicates the constant temperature.
