In 1962, the US Navy United DuPont jointly developed a combustion dummy named thermo-man, which controls the experiment, records experimental data, statistical analysis test results, and draws the experimental results and fake people before, after burn area and An area of human body map. The expected function of the combustion fake person is basically realized. In the 1980s, Minnesota University also built a fake person for clothing combustion experiments. The dummy is equipped with 44 thermocouple sensors, predicting the degree of burns of human skin and burn areas by measuring temperatures. It is ignited to ignite a set of gas flames in the lower edge of test clothing in the dummy. But this gas flame does not completely swallow the dummy, so it cannot simulate a variety of sudden fire.
At the end of the 1980s, the University of Alberta, Canada, also developed a dummy "pyroman". As shown in Figure 1-1 below, 110 heat flow sensors were installed on the surface of the dummy. The dummy and the sudden burning flame system are similar to the US military dummy system. After the six burners installed around the fake person ignited, the dispensed flame produced by the propane gas completely swallowed people. In view of the current growth of China's current development and research status, military and civilian demand for high-performance flame retardant protective clothing, so there is a need for self-study and development of instrumental combustion fake people.
